Pouring Out

Since I was here last, I have been busy writing and teaching.

Last summer, I finished writing and teaching a River University course on Old and New Testament Survey. I wrote a 30-day devotional called “It Ought To Begin With Love.” You can find it here.

And I just recently finished writing and teaching “The Process of Spiritual Formation.” I am so proud of that work because, as my kids told me, “You’ve been teaching that your whole life.” It’s true. How we grow as Christians and how we live the Christian life are themes in almost everything I write and teach.

I put every part of myself into that course, and I feel a bit wrung out. But I have to keep writing because a new class will be starting in May.

I feel compelled to continue writing here as well. To not be completely drained, I am going to write a short “something” every day for Lent. It’s going to be improv, off the cuff, as they say. It won’t be perfect or polished, but just a sharing of my thoughts about readings or art or music.

Feel free to follow along with me.

Peace,

Jill
