I’m Back Again

I’ve been blogging since Xanga. You have to be a Millennial like my kids or a member of Generation Jones, like me to remember that dinosaur of a blog site that began to be popular in the early 2000s.

Through the years I would change my style or purpose, delete my blog and create a new one. I blogged for my work and for my church. Even now when I’m not writing for public consumption, I’m writing privately. So, I guess you’d say I’m a writer because I have to write.

So, I’m back again with this new blog. And since the last time I was blogging regularly, I have become a retired Christian School teacher, a professional photographer, a severe weather spotter, and a certified proofreader. I have self-published 5 books that are on Amazon, and one that I published with my church in which I was the editor. I have also moved from Georgia to Texas with my husband to be near my kids and 6 grandkids. Those 6 little people inspired me to start an Etsy Shop called AdLib Printable Studio where I make printable activities and games for kids.

I do other things, too, like volunteer at my church where I teach adults the Bible and I am the Director of their Adult Education Program. I was their Social Media Manager, but I just volunteer as a staff photographer now. I also volunteer at my local library where I help people study to get their US citizenship and teach ESOL.

Now that I’m typing all this out, it seems like a lot, but that’s the way I like it. The internet has me believing I have undiagnosed ADHD, and after what I just typed, I feel it might be right.

You’ll probably find a variety of things on this blog. I’ll be publishing things that are meant to be samples of my writing for publishers checking me out. I’ll also be publishing things just because I want to. All the photographs will be mine, unless I tell you different.

I hope you come back again.

Peace,

Jill
